Flushing up joints after glue-up.

Assembled, glued, wedged, clamped!

I taped off all of the joints and prefinished the interior surfaces. Finally ready to glue things up!

To disassemble the table, I needed a mechanism to simultaneously pull the 2 upper and 2 lower top planks from the dovetailed end assemblies.  All 4 planks need to be removed in perfect synchrony to avoid racking and damaging the structure.

Using a brace to tap holes into the underside of the top. I find a little paste wax on the tap helps in cutting clean crisp threads. The tapped holes will be used when disassembling the table (more detail to come). I have found tapped holes in hard

The top planks for the table are attached to the ends with loose tenons and Festool knock-down connectors. The Festool connectors are extremely robust and simple to use.

I set the end assemblies aside for a moment to mill and glue up the 4 planks for the center of the table.
