Clune Media Console

All superfluous elements were stripped away on this commission for a media console in an effort to keep the focus on the form and proportioning of the piece as well as the beauty of the wood.

A single massive board was used to make the sides and top of the console. Mitered dovetails at the corners serve as the only restrained ornamentation on the piece. Push to open, undermount drawer slides allowed for the elimination of drawer handles or recesses. Two book matched planks were used to provide grain continuity across the drawer fronts.
